Chamber Ensembles

The Plattsburgh Community Clarinet Choir was established in 2022 to fill the absence of clarinet chamber music in the North Country. We are a group of hobbyists, students, teachers, and professionals with an unrivaled passion for the clarinet family.

In late 2022, the Major Fifth Quartet was born. This group is made up of four multi-instrumentalists from the Crane School of Music and SUNY Plattsburgh.

The Deep Sea Low Clarinet Choir is a group of alto, bass, contra-alto and contrabass clarinetists who strive to make low (auxiliary) clarinets more well-known.

We were awarded our first grant! Thank you so much to the Plattsburgh Arts Coalition!

With the support of friends, colleagues, and community members, we raised enough money to fund our first commission! One of our primary focuses as a community ensemble is to commission new works composed by those in historically underrepresented groups. Thank you to Tyler Mazone for agreeing to work with us!

Donations will be used to commission new pieces, and to fund future projects.

Teaching

Along with teaching private instrumental lessons within the Plattsburgh City School district, Margali is available for private or group lessons for clarinetists, saxophonists, and orchestral percussionists of all skill levels and age groups, as well as beginner flute and cello.
